Empowerment For Freedom: End to Slavery

Empowerment comes in many forms and can be inpired through the simplest of actions. I want to provide a physical foundation for a metaphoric establishment. The establishment that all men (and women) are created equal means we should all share in the same oppotunites and good fortunes and our successes should be one another's successes. 

 

In building My Lotus House for the survivors [of human-trafficking] with whom I have spent countless hours, I truly believe I will be making an investment into the transformation of lives formerly torn apart. My girls rarely ask for anything, in fact, they mostly just kiss me and hug me and thank me profusely (for what... I do not know -they are MY heroes). So when they said that it would mean everything to them to simply have a place to call home, I just said, "Yes." What else was I to do?

 

Over time, I can raise the 500,000 USD required to provide for the building of My Lotus House donating from my own income little by little, but you're help will allow me to keep my promise now. The original design donated by a local architect in Cambodia would make it possible to house 500 girls. 

 

I seek to help end slavery and I work with organizations who actively rescue victims and support this fight. PROJECT: My Lotus House is a more personal endeavor which has been a dream of mine for three years. Please, help me make my dream come true and potentially break ground for the dreams of those whose lives were at once invisible. Thank you.
